What is information Technology(IT)?

The term information technology was coined by the Harvard Business Review, in order to make a distinction between purpose-built machines designed to perform a limited scope of functions and general-purpose computing machines that could be programmed for various tasks. As the IT industry evolved from the mid-20th century, it encompassed transistors and integrated circuits — computing capability advanced while device cost and energy consumption fell lower, a cycle that continues today when new technologies emerge.

Information Technology is the use of any computers, storage, networking and other physical devices, infrastructure and process to create process, store, secure and exchange all forms of electronic data. By allowing organizations to work more effiency and maximize productivity. Faster communication, electronic storage and the protection of records are advantages that IT can have on your enterprise.

IT is a big industry that never ends, if you have great guidance you can get great positions in IT companies. In upcoming days the IT is a rising industries. The world will depend on after 3 years. Right now some countries are not depends on IT resources but after year 2020 whole world will depends on IT.
